200mm Ball Valve

200mm Bore Reaction Bonded Silicon Carbide Valve Ball

The photograph on the left shows a 200mm diameter diamond ground reaction bonded silicon carbide valve ball for use in 850 degrees centigrade abrasive and corrosive gas control.

This type of solid ceramic valve ball is only suitable for use in the control of high temperature gas. It is not designed for the control of abrasive slurries.

Ceramic linings would be fitted in the inlet and outlet sectons of the valve body, at either end of the valve ball.

150mm Bore Reaction Bonded SiC Valve Ball Inlet & Outlet Linings

This type of ceramic lining system is used in slurry application, or in high temperature gas application where thermal shock may be a problem.

The ceramic linings are grouted in position with an organic adhesive, or a refractory cement and secondary mechanical fixing methods.

The ceramic liner is inserted into the steel valve ball and secured with an organic adhesive, or a refractory cement grout with secondary mechanical fixings.

This type of ceramic lining system is used in slurry applications, or in high temperature gas applications where thermal shock may be a problem.

50mm NB Reaction Bonded Silicon Carbide Ball and Seats

These items are supplied as direct replacements for zirconia and alumina ceramic balls and seats and can exhibit up to 10 times greater wear resistance in low and high temperature environments.
